Sometimes it's fun to but DIY your own art materials. It makes the art-ing procedure all the more than fun, and is a artistic effort itself. I think it's kinda cool to be able to involve kids in the process, and then they see that fine art supplies don't always have to come from a store. Similar to cooking with them, they can larn to savor the process and experiment with the last products.
