When John Cena is serious on the microphone and not working his goofier side, he is a forced to be reckoned with. As one of the greatest trash talkers of all time, he knows how to pack a venue with fans.

Throughout his career, Cena has cut some of the most epic promos ever, tearing down his fellow WWE superstars. At times it has felt personal, but mostly it has simply been a work of art and business genius.

Throughout this list, we will reveal 10 times that John Cena managed to bury a fellow wrestler on the microphone with his promo abilities.

10 Brock's Brains

It's not an easy thing to trash-talk Brock Lesnar, simply because of who he is. However, during Lesnar's earlier run, trashing him was certainly easier than it is now that he has built himself up to be a major name from MMA and WWE.

It was during this period of time that John Cena was still rapping and trash-talking his opponents. That is exactly what he did to Brock Lesnar, burying his intelligence.

Cena bust out a rap mocking the fact that Brock might be built well physically, but that he is lacking in the brains department, which was a hilarious line.

9 "Until You Beat Me, You're Nothing"

Managing to beat Triple H in a promo is something that isn't very easy to do, and managing to actually bury him is even harder. However, that is something John Cena did manage to achieve during one of their many feuds.

With the two men feuding over the WWE Championship, Cena pushed Triple H all the way, and he made it clear to the Game that he hadn't made it just yet. Cena told Triple H that he is "nothing" unless he beats him.

Not only did it push Cena to the top of the card, proving that he believes he is the best, but it also was a major shot at Triple H at the same time.

8 Insults Dolph's Manhood

Everyone is well aware of the fact that Dolph Ziggler believes in himself as a top tier talent. He has constantly called himself the best and seems to think that it is the WWE that has been holding him back.

So when John Cena interrupted Ziggler's New Year's celebrations with AJ Lee to point out it wasn't the system holding Dolph back, he certainly buried Dolph.

Cena didn't mince words when he made it clear that Ziggler only has himself to blame for his position on the card, going on to say the only way he could "have nuts is if he bought some."

7 Burying Big Show

John Cena and Big Show have been longstanding rivals throughout their careers. Since this started early on in Cena's career, it gave him the opportunity to cut some awesome promos against Big Show.

A lot of the time, Cena picked on Big Show's weight and didn't waste any time in making his feelings towards his rival clear. Even during a match with Rey Mysterio, Cena's promo was directed at Big Show, truly burying him over his size and weight.

6 "You're Just A Coward"

In recent years, storylines with The Undertaker have really begun to change. Wrestlers have started opening up about the fact that he is just a man, and the mystique has started to be stripped away.

During the build to WrestleMania 34, that's exactly what John Cena did. He called the Undertaker out constantly and buried him on the microphone each week, labeling him a coward, which is something very few wrestlers have ever done.

5 John Cena Breaks The Fourth Wall

John Cena facing off with AJ Styles is something that nobody ever expected to see, but when it happened, the two men created magic. In the ring, their matches were incredible, but they also had many amazing promos to build it up.

Of course, both men come from very different places, and John Cena had no problem in opening up on that. He trashed the independent scene, claiming he wasn't built for it and then broke the fourth wall.

He spoke openly about the fact if he beat AJ he would have "buried" him, and that's all anyone would say, even though it would mean he's better. What's funny about it is that that promo line pretty much buried him.

4 John Cena Bootleg

When WWE finally booked the John Cena/Roman Reigns match that fans had been clamoring for, everyone knew that some great promos were coming. Unsurprisingly, John Cena wasted little time in ripping the Big Dog apart.

During their contract signing, Cena made his thoughts on Reigns very clear, claiming that all he sees in him is a bootleg version of himself. Cena ripped Reigns apart for being corporately created and didn't hold back at all.

It was a top-notch promo that certainly lit a fire underneath Reigns, but it also completely buried him at the same time.

3 Destroying Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose may have had a great WWE career, but there are many people who believe he could have achieved more than he did. Clearly, it seems that John Cena is one of those people.

This promo came shortly after Ambrose's very awkward appearance on Stone Cold's WWE Network podcast. On that show, Austin tried to light a fire under Ambrose, who was so laid back, and Cena brought it up.

He claimed that he wasn't surprised Austin called him out as he went on to tell Ambrose he hadn't stepped up, burying him instantly.

2 Wrist Revelations

During John Cena's feud with The Rock, the two men traded some huge verbal blows to each other. They are two of the greatest trash talkers of all time and they certainly pushed each other with some really personal promos.

However, to a lot of fans' surprise, it was actually John Cena who seemed to come out the best during these exchanges. That was never more clear than when he pointed out that The Rock had pointers written on his wrist for his script.

It wasn't something anybody expected to see as Cena crossed a huge line and pointed out a major flaw with what The Rock had been doing, burying him in front of the fans.

1 Trashing Miz's Acting Career

John Cena doesn't always just bury people in terms of their wrestling career and what storyline they are doing in the ring. A perfect example of that is when he destroyed The Miz in regards to his acting career.

This was during their WrestleMania 33 feud where they competed in a mixed tag team that involved Nikki Bella and Maryse. The promos got fairly personal between them and eventually led to Miz's acting career.

Cena took a shot at his movies, claiming nobody had seen them as they were just bootleg versions of films that he had already made, trashing his acting career.
